Eagle Band - The Beagles

It was taken when we were called The Beagles (Also know as the Hush Puppies, I might add that Chad had to do a Moonie as a result of the group's name at the re-union - he paid is penalty even though he was probably right in the first place!). In this photo we were playing at the Singapore Cathay Night Club in January 1965 as a support act to Lionel Blair and his girls. The DT's were on the ship for a much longer time than us due to drafting but we all got on very well together. When we were playing and they were not, they would come and support us and we always tried to do the same for them. Our line up was Taff Evans Guitar and Vocal, Bronco Lane on Drums, Roger Hopkins (Myself) Lead Guitar and backing vocals -Chad Ellis and Tony Burford were always around to help do the Road work for us. We had memorable gigs in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Far East as well as the Mombasa area.

I have been able via this site to talk to Tex Scott from the DT's, Tony
Burford (MEM) who ended up as our Bass Player and Tony Francis who lives in Oz
but no joy with Taff (Timothy Evans who left the RN early so I believe?) Bronco
went on to be the Drummer for Sounds Like Five onboard (I think?) Anyone
know where Taff might be we ask?
